Second row, first bar, I think is "Cruciada impotriva comunismului".

hello Alex, the price varies. If you have luck, you can find a good deal at flee markets.Barbatie si Credinta is from 20$ to 100 $ depends on the class and type, Crusade Medal is from 10-15 without ribbon, and complete is 30-50,60 $.The German medal i think it is something like 50-70 $.

Ahile is correct 100 %.

The ostmedaille can be easily bought on any dealer site for the sum named by Ahile, as for the Romanian medals, try every collector fair (Sutu, Brasov, etc), and you will easily find them.

Another point of interest is the soldier on the left in picture,

seems to have used a small zinc button from a German bread bag

as a replacement on the right.hand upper tunic pocket.

Hi Kevin in Deva!

I sow, that one of the button was replaced but I would never know that it was replaced by a button from a German bread bag. Do you have separately a photo with such button from the German bread bag or with the German bread bag together? How it looks like that German bread bag?

Thank you,

Alex

Thank you Ahile and Alexei!

It is very useful to know in advance what the prices of these medals are before to make an attempt to buy them.

I am also interested to know what kind of hats (models) these solders have on them. That one from the right looks like he has something on his hat, no? What could be that?

Both solders are wearing summer tunic’s md 1939.

Based on their uniform, does anybody know to what kind of Romanian military units they belonged?

Thank you,

Alex

Dear Kevin in Deva,

As far as I understand German Bread Bag Buttons where made from zinc, diameter 17 mm with 3 holes. Is it true?

Does anybody know if in Romania in military archives are registers with the names of those soldiers who were decorated during WWII?

Please let me know where I can find such information.

Thank you!
