About six or eight years ago I saw a Czech military modelling magazine (called HPM?) which contained an article on Romanian armour in Moravia in 1945. It included a good number of photographs of knocked out Romanian tanks and self propelled guns destroyed in the last weeks of the war.

Does anyone know this magazine and which edition of it this article appeared in?

I have almost all issues of HPM. I can look for the article you need. Do you have more details? Was it part of a larger scope article or was it just about Romanian armour in Moravia in 1945?

Wouaouh, you are very lucky! Lots of interesting subjects, as last fighting in 1945!
I have only sept 2004, and some pictures scanned.

I think I was in Prague in about 1997. The article would have been at about that time or earlier.

I think the article was specifically devoted to Romanian armour in Moravia in the last weeks of the war. I can remember a several photos of knocked out Romanian armoured vehicles all of them painted with large red stars.

I haven't seen HPM since then, but I thought it was exceptionally good in the mid 1990s.

Yes, they published one back in 1999 - on issue 9/1999.
Unfortunately, since then they didn't published any new one. Maybe they will do so during the current year.

You are right. HPM was very good back then and it still is. The latest issues have a different layout and a much better paper. And also colour profiles scattered throughout the magazine (and not just in front and end pages, and the typical interior central, colour pages printed in glossier paper).

Thanks for giving me a closer indication. 1997, then? I will check it again; I cannot recall - visually, I mean - the article with the photos you mention, but with the general index of all HPM issues published up to September, 1999, finding it should be easy.
I will take a look at the list when I'm back at home.

They were kaki.

Or more exactly the overall color of the tank ( usually khaky or olive green and possible grey)
