WorldWar2.ro Forum > Comments and suggestions > Individual number of posts

Posted by: dragos November 03, 2004 06:40 pm
From now on, the posts in the General discussion and the Comments and suggestions forums does not add to the total number of posts of each member. The individual number of posts has been adjusted accordingly.

Its ok. General discution and Comments are auxiliary forums, because are not in direct link to ideea of www.worldwar2.ro

Edit: i hope, those decisions taken from time-to-time are not to cut the chances of being "general" for one forumist, or for a group of forumists who are ... "rebels" in one or another way.

I don't joined in this forum to have some ranks. www.worldwar2.ro atract me because is at high level, like other from Occident, because is a forum with history of my country.

I don't think it could be bothering for somebody (or I am wrong? biggrin.gif )

If a decision was made, certainly some things bothered somebody...

Good job, guys! The "rebels" salute you!

By the way, because of the incapability of having a personal signature, I shall add it at the bottom of my each post from now on. I hope that's ok!

No Alexandru, it is not ok. The signatures have been removed with the purpose of not distracting the attention from the post.

Yes, but it is inside the post, so it's part of the discussion....

Some of us (including me) posted most of their issues on "general discussions" and they increased fastly in their "ranks". I was thinking about them, not about administrators.
Sorry for dissapointing you fellows! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

It may surprise you 3, but not everything revolves around you here and we have plenty of things to do than think of secret ways of "hurting" you. The Axis History Forum has a similar rule, it isn't something we invented. The ranks bring no advantage whatsoever to a poster. Maybe in the future we will adopt the AHF idea to eliminate the ranks and have only Members and Admins.

Hi Victor,
1. It doesn't surprised me at all. It's a fact and that's all for me.
2. "we'll adopt the AHF idea..." - agree 100%. Personally I am here not to post hundreds or thousands of messages nor to gain some "rank and respect" but for learning and for discussing.

Agree. Scrap them altogether. Besides it gives the site a militaristic feel, now can you imagine that on a WWII forum biggrin.gif
We need no stinking ranks.

Good one, Chandernagore! I sustain your words, and i propose to gain a daisy form 250 to 250 posts! Make love, not war! Daisy rules! Or, is too militaristic?

I dont know if its connected to number pf posts or anything, but whats up with the new developments? I am talking about a new "breed" of members -- the "hosts". I wouldnt have noticed it were it not for the different colour the hosts member names have. So whats going on? smile.gif

I will definitely sleep better knowing the fact that this sole post will not be added to my postcount. Hehehe, does postcounts matters at all?

I dont know, but I am curious what "hosts" are. biggrin.gif

Posts in this section and the General Discussion area aren't added to the total.

The Hosts are members with limited moderatorial powers in the respective sections. They are also supposed to contribute to that section as much as possible and add information.

How do we know which hosts have “limited moderatorial powers” in which section?

Posted by: Victor November 08, 2005 03:09 pm
Under the respective section it is written "Forum Led by:"
