Talk about the "Law of Unintended Consequences" !!!

This should stand just next to Suvorov's theory of Hitler being the "puppet" of Stalin!

Well, not in my opinion; that sort of thing is counterfactual history, myth, conspiracy theory and the like.

In the Mussolini case, there seems to be evidence and, given the histories and m.o. of spooks, I have no prob imaginng the MI5 doing something like that.

All I'm saying is I doubt that had any idea their boy would grow up to be the (arguably) second most important fascist of the era, and cause them/us so much trouble (i,e. WW2: persoanlly reading now the Italian campaigns, 1943-44. Not pretty, just to take one example!)

The "unintended consequences law" bit them/us on the ass hard that time, if report true. Not the first or, last time!

cheers
