They did march in Moscow but not the way they planed... ![]() ![]() Immensely huge columns of German POWs, without end to the horizon, were driven through the Moscow streets in 1943 and 1944. Hundreds of thousands of losers ... Or lucky ones to remain alive? I am looking for the same type of photos of Germans in Moscow... *** |

New Governor Of Alaska, if you are interested in photographs of POW in Moscow, you can ask politely. If you are interested in a flame war then you are in the wrong place. This is a civilized forum, focused on historical facts, not on ideologies or politics. |

Well, was I rude? No. I did ask politely. Quote - I am looking for the same type of photos of Germans in Moscow... And this thread IS about historical facts. Fact - Germans lost the war, Fact - they got a chance to march on the streets of Moscow. ![]() German POWs never-ending columns were passing by the famous Belorussky Railway Station in Moscow. Thousands, thousands, and thousands... Now, at last, they could have a look at Moscow... Although not just in the way Hitler had expected them to. Noticeably enough, it was exactly from the Belorussky Railway Station that the Red Army troops used to leave the capital for the front line. *** |

If you are interested in photographs, you can drop such kind of side remarks. It can be harmful or insulting for people that took part in the war, or related to them, no matter on which side they were involved. P.S. I will ask you not to post the same link below each of your post. Advertising is not allowed according to the forum rules. |

It must be a still from a movie, because the tanks looks like a T-34/85 and something that resembles a Tiger. |

That's some sort of ID card. This is NOT wat I was asking for. Do you have any photos of German soldiers IN ACTION? _________________________ "History knows no greater display of courage than that shown by the people of Soviet Russia." Henry L. No its not "some sort of id card", ![]() it is in fact a "Memoriam Card" or so called Death Card, sent by the Family to Relatives and close friends upon the death of a person, in this case a German pilot killed on the 13th of October 1941 on a mission over Moscow. aged 21. The sending of this type of card is a predominantly Catholic tradition which still takes place today in many Catholic Countries. The "movie still" looks more like a model tank diorama in 1/35th scale posed in front of a photographic background!!! Kevin in Deva ![]() |

NGOA, as this German Death Card notes, this soldier died IN ACTION, over Moscow. That's why I thought it might be of interest to you. Gen. Dénes _________________________ "The Soviet Union is an Evil Empire, and Soviet Communism is the focus of evil in the modern world." Ronald Reagan |

Gen. Dénes, I am not interested in death certificates. I assume that German thought he would march in Moscow the same way his contrymen march in Paris.... Well, it seems like the story of Napoleon didn't teach him anything.... "History knows no greater display of courage than that shown by the people of Soviet Russia." ![]() Henry L.
