factory assembly lines for messerschmidt bf 109, with their concrete postament!!!! mad.gif

indeed. according to a special issue of the german wapons magazine "Visier" (25/2002) which i accidentally bought 5 years ago, the '43 invention was rejected from serial production (although the author was credited for the innovations), as the weapon would not offer any significant advantage over the existing PPsh 41 and PPS 43, so they decided it's not worth the hassle.
and it wasn't Kalashnikovs only model that would be rejected.

the magazine also states, that despite some similarities, the concepts behind the AK47 and StG 44 are so different, it is obvious that the AK47 is not a rip-off.
