In the last issue of Modelsim International is presented Bearn, the french carrier.
I didn't obtain succes in finding only a good site on the net with the planes who were in service on this ship.
Anyone can give me a link or some info about this planes?

Thank you,

Iama

Hi Iamandi,

Try:

http://perso.wanadoo.fr/roger.roucolle/baseaero.html

This gives Bearn's squadrons and aircraft on 1 September 1939 as:

AC1 - Dewoitine D376
AC2 - Dewoitine D376
AB1 - Levasseur PL-7
AB2 - Levasseur PL-101

I guess this means each escadrille had ten aircraft.

Cheers,

Sid.

According to this source ( http://p090.ezboard.com/fjpspanzersfrm12.showMessage?topicID=327.topic ), early in 1940 the Dewoitine D 373 and D 376 fighters of the Aeronavale were replaced by Potez 631’s.

Apparently the only difference between D 373 and D 376 was that the later had folding wings, being the embarked version of the former.

Here's another article about the Bearn. http://www.secondeguerre.net/Navires/France/pages/bearn.html It's in French too. If you scroll down you can see some colour profiles of the aircraft used by the French naval air-force, including carier-based planes.
