now i'm waitng for boots, y straps, belt.....etc

and the next equipment that i'm colecting now is elite cammo.

ps: just to reenact (maybe airsoft thematic games)not for politicals or ideological meetings!

That is nice it would be very nice and healthy to have a German unit as allies or enemies. smile.gif

Unfortunately the press might pick on you at some point but as long as you stick to a fallschirmjager unit you should be fine, I hope. rolleyes.gif

But remember original equipment might get damaged in reenactments.

You are already invited to the military museum days.

Going for the Cassino look with the FJR3 cuff ??? tongue.gif

Nice display. Perhaps a tan/water or a tropical smock would be more appropriate, and another cammo scheme for the lid.

Nice display, good for reenactment.

Cheers,

Al

Congratulation „seeker”! smile.gif

It’s great if we’ll have a german WW2 group in Romania. They could join the romanian army reenactors during the shows, as allied or enemy troops.

I hope you’ll find other interested people to join you, although it’s not easy (and cheap) to amass a complete german uniform/equipment. There is also a person in Bucharest, an ex-member of our group, who is also a collector of german WW2 militaria. He has a complete german infantryman uniform/equipment of the early period. I hope you could find more interested people to join you because the Wehrmacht army of WW2 is a very tempting topic for possible reenactors.

As far as I know, the next edition of the Military Museum Days (10th-11th of May 2008), will have as topic “The Soldier along History” and it will be a multi-period show. So you and any other interested person, could participate and present his uniform and equipment.

What about the Kar 98 rifle? wink.gif

FG 42 is nice, that if you want to reenact the Mussolini rescue by the FJ Lehr BTL. But why not spice up things a bit with a folding K98, specially designed also for FJ use. tongue.gif

Fg 42 only if it's Type 1, the Type 2 has a ugly pistol grip.

I thought that the only folding stock K98 was the G33/40 (a shorter version of the k98) made by the czech with folding stock.

But the k98 folding stock is typical german fix (read complicated) to problem. tongue.gif

Indeed, but IMO for a nice FJ reenacting I'd go for more of a 40ish look:

1. Step-in smock.
2. M-38 lid.
3. Sidelaced jump boots.
4. Blue bandoleer.
5. helmet cammo cover.
6. The fliegerbluse underneath the smock.
7. FJ pants.
8. Gravity knife.
9. Repro SB.
10. Kar 98 rifle, or an MP38.

The list may go on with some insignificant details, but the above should do the trick.

Cheers,

Al

Mp-38, FG 42, k43 they are not cheap but they look god and do not require any license.

From that link I would choose the panzerfaust F-60 biggrin.gif It's very nice and cheap (129 euro) that yellow tube (but more suitable for a panzergrenadier. wink.gif )

An FG-42 would be great but “seeker” already has an ammo bandolier for Kar 98 rifle clips. For a submachine gun he would need magazine pouches which are easy to be found (I mean replicas) but expensive enough.

Only in Sergiu Nicolaescu’s WW2 movies you could see Romanian soldiers carrying “Orita” or MP-40 submachine guns but equipped with rifle ammo pouches. ohmy.gif

guys ......for the moment i have no rifle....i'm working on that!

it will be either k98 airsoft or mp40 airsoft with ammo pouches

one more thing, i wanted to have the hole package of equipment fj but that involved "eiergranate" -egggrenade wood replica.
that will be a problem to import in romania becouse the post works with "g4f"...a security agency that scanes the packs.

it happened to me, i've sent in craiova a ww1 werndl bayonet, and the guy was called at the police to explain what will do with the "sword"!!!!!!

i think they won't be happy when the security will say that they found something that looks like grenades laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

i want to import a lots of replicas but i must sincere say that the steilhandgranate and eiergranate give me emotions!!!! unsure.gif unsure.gif dry.gif

You friend is from Bucharest?

The MMN Open days will be in a week-end in the middle of May.

As long as your friend has a decent uniform he is welcomed.
