I have a WW2 military ruler that seems to have some aerial bomb marks on it. Can someone explain what was it use? On one side it is written: "Bomba germana 12 kg", on the other: "Grenada I.A.R. - Barbieri". There are curved gradations from 180 to 350 intersected by straight lines marked 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30. http://i.imgur.com/GlNn2e0.jpg |

It looks to be some kind of slide rule for use in load calculations for interwar romanian aircrafts, maybe SET 7 or so. |

It may be the ruler from the AMA bomb sight used with the Barbieri bomb carriers. This sight was used on Potez 25 and I.A.R.37/38/39. You can fing more information about the principle here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drift_Sight HTH Radu |
