58 should be a serial number and 928 the contingent year (1928) - the year the person was initially drafted by the army at 18 years. |

Why 18 years he served in the army? On dog tag it is not written 928 but 926. |

So, he was around 33 years old in 1941. [Off-topic] Which was the maximal age for frontline mobilization, in Romania, during WW2 ("apt combatant", acording to nowadays formula)? Was it there a (different) age for auxiliary military service ("apt necombatant")? What about the other countries? Thank you! |
