Hallo Gentlemen, biggrin.gif

last week I had a walk around one of the two graveyards in Simeria,

as usual I was looking for military or uniformed persons graves.

When I came across this one to:-

MIHU MOISA

Born: 1935 - Died: 1995.

Is he wearing two FRUNTAS IN INTRECEREA SOCIALISTA awards?

And can anybody identify the middle award please.

Both of them look to me as they were railway workers, not army men.

Hi Kevin, as Denes said, the gents from the first two pictures are railway workers.
They are wearing following badges:

Hallo b737,biggrin.gif

I knew they were train / rail workers,

as I put C.F.R. in the thread title,

I was trying to identify the insignia,

many thanks for the info. biggrin.gif

Does the dage signify the job or is it a general

badge for rail workers?

Hi Kevin,
the "Fruntas in intrecerea socialista" badge is a common badge awarded to all good workers!
The CFR badge is rare ! It commemorates 20 years from the railway workers rebellion from 1933. I have 3 versions of this badge in my collection.
There is also a medal that commemorates 25 years from the rebellion.

The badge worn by the gentelman in this picture is a post 1990 badge for ww2 veterans !

By the way, if the pictures are too big you can post the link "tumbnails for forums(1)".
