A new find for me.

A variation of the Tudor Vladimirescu sleeve patch. Hand made with clear plastic over a printed cloth patch. Heavy black and yellow cord border. Back cloth is blue green cloth. Does anyone know if the black and yellow piping has any meaning to it ? Unit or branch colors ?

This patch came from the same person who made this aluminum cigarette box while being a POW in Russia.

Bottom edge of box is engraved " Lagarul 75" or "Cagarul 75". Anyone know what this stands for ? Unit ? Prison Camp ?

Interesting photo of a major wearing the model 1941 khaki tunic. Possibly a cavalry officer noted by the large gold buttons on the shoulder boards. Probably an earlier photo as the uniform worn is Romanian and not soviet made. I noticed an unusual insignia that I have never seen before on a Tudor Vladimirescu uniform. It looks like a large red Soviet style star worn above the right brest pocket of the tunic. Does anyone have a close up photo of what this insignia looked like ? Was this a cloth or metal insignia. What was this insignia used for ?

I beleive the inscription on the side of the case is "Lagarul 75" which would mean "Prison Camp 75". Does anyone have any information about this Soviet prison camp ?
