| Hello all, I am new here and my english isn´t very good(sorry about that) and i know this is old topic but i have lot of questions about that. It is last fight of Traian Dârjan and other pilots in this fight. I was doing here some research on forum but i didn´t find answers on this questions. So i want to please you to help me. My questions are: How many attacked Fw-190s were there? (2 or 8) How many german Bf-109s were there? Who was pilot that shot down Cantacuzino? Can somebody translate to me full section of book Cornel Marandiuc, where is said about this fight or where i can get diary of Dr. Mircea Gradinaru or its translation? Rudolf Mrkva was commandeur of Gruppe I./SG2 ? Are these informations true - http://traiandarjan.scoli.edu.ro/Istorie.html , and could somebody translate it to english - google translate isn´t very good for it. Iĺl be very thankful for any answer. |

| You can read, in English, about the real circumstances Traian Dârjan was shot down, in my book 'Rumanian Air Force. The Prime Decade', by Squadron/Signal Publ., 1999, pages 37&40. What is written on the home page of the school in Someseni is mostly rubbish. Gen. Dénes |

| I bought your books - "Rumanian Aces of World War 2" and "Rumanian Air Force. The Prime Decade"(good reading), but I still don´t know who downed Cantacuzino. Know somebody who downed Cantacuzino - Was it find out?(I can´t find it anywhere on the internet.) |

Could Hans Kornatz downed Cantacuzino? Have somebody good scan of Ion Taralunga´s painting of T. Darjan´s last fight? Is on this forum some specialist on Traian Darjan? Have somebody some memoirs from pilots of 9. fighter group about T. Darjan and C. Cantacuzino, mainly from that sad day? |
