Here's what I've found on a Bulgarian web site related to Rumania's participation in what they call 'The Russo-Turkish War of Liberation, 1877-1878': http://mannlicher.boinaslava.net/english/index.php?p=russo-turkish_war_chapter1_Romania http://mannlicher.boinaslava.net/english/index.php?p=russo-turkish_war_chapter2_the_war http://mannlicher.boinaslava.net/english/index.php?p=russo-turkish_war_chapter3_romanian http://mannlicher.boinaslava.net/english/index.php?p=russo-turkish_war_tables Gen. At a glance, I was very surprised to learn from that site that there was a war in 1885 between Serbia and Bulgaria. 2 nations related (South Slavic), with the same writing (Slavic), with the same religion, and with the same main enemy: The Ottoman Empire. ![]() |

Very interesting. It also has a large number of details that are not found on any other sites. But if anyone wishes to learn more about the Romanian-Russian-Serbian-Turkish War or the War of Independence for un Romanians I strongly recomend "Armata romana in Razboiul de Independenta 1877-1878" from the Traditii Militare collection by I. Scarfes & Co. It has an English summary. HONOR ET PATRIA Ml. B. |

Florin, There is no love lost betwen Bulgaria and Serbia. The writing they use is called "chirilic",from the name of one of the monks that invented it. All the best |

Try here: http://www.editurasigma.ro/R/P-carte/carte_id-3671/t-Armata-romana-in-Razboiul-de-independenta Unfortunately the Publisher's site is only in Romanian. I think you could send them a message and ask how to get it. The price is about 15 Euros. Good luck! |

I got a copy from them and I am in the UK too, but I don't think they spoke English to me. If you know how to read some Romanian, ordering through their site is quite easy. The book is great, and amazing value. ![]() |
