The 105 mm Schneider model 1936 field fun, as well as the 150 mm Skoda model 1934 howitzers, were the most modern heavy artillery pieces in the Romanian arsenal during WWII. The motorized heavy artillery regiments and the independent motorized artillery battalions were equipped with such guns. These units were considered elite and had comparable possibilities and achievments with similar German regiments.
