5th Cavalry Brigade (1941-42)

  • 2nd Horse Artillery Regiment

On 22 June 1941, the brigade had 234 officers, 187 NCOs and 6,696 soldiers. They were equipped with 3,764 rifles, 201 ZB-30 LMGs, 48 HMGs, 18 mortars, 19 antitank huns and 9 AA guns.. For transportation it had 4,512 horses, 442 horse-drawn carts and 185 motorized vehicles.

On 15 March 1942, it was reorganized and transformed into the 5th Cavalry Division.
