Prisoner of War Camps

Can someone tell me how many POW camps the Romanians ran ? Were there separate camps for officers and other ranks ? Also, how were the guards come from (for example the Germans used Landesschutzen batallions as POW guards) ? Thank you for your help.

In 1943, a commission of the International Red Cross Comity, visited the 12 camps in which the Soviet POWs were kept. There was also one hospital for Soviet POWs and several farms were some of them worked. They noted that they generally had good conditions and received a humane treatment.
Some of the camps were:
Budesti, where 11,200 POWs lived in 163 barracks
Corbeni, where there were 2,600 POWs
Kalcatova-Balka (in Trans-Dnestra), 600 POWs
Maia, 408 officers
Calafat

The American and British POWs were all kept at Timisul de Jos, also the officers separated from the NCOs.

The guards were from the regular army, probably from the sedentary part of the units on the front.

On the romanian hands were 160,000 prissoniers, but 80,000 were handed over and sent to Germany. More others were send to home (bessarabians and ukraineans) and some 40,000 were POW and worked in Romania.
From Mart.1st 1946 were repatriated from Romania 133,500 people : 28,800 POW and 104,700 civilian workers. Assuming the conditions in Romania and the same mortality as in Finland, the number of POW in Romania coud be some 40,000.

I am new to this forum.

Thank you for the lists of the Romanian camps for soviet POWs. Does anyone know where I can get lists of cavalry POWs at these camps. My fathers surname has been spelled in many different ways so I cannot just insert our surname. I believe he was captured in Bukovina (Chernivtsi) early in the war (July 6, 1941?). I thought we were Polish, then Russian but now I believe he was Ukrainian.
