Hi, I have come across four types of 13.2mm Heavy Machine Guns, all based on the Hotchkiss version I think, (not counting the ones mounted in AFVs), but all have slightly different data stats;

Rate of Fire: 450 rpm

It’s fair to say that each nation used a different type of ammo and a different type of feed (strip, belt or magazine), but things like barrel length and elevation should be similar.
Can anyone help me find out if they all should be identical or not.

Romania used a 13.2 mm FN Browning machine gun with Hotchkiss cartridges. This was used on the Savoia bombers and the I.A.R.80-B.

you were talking about a romanian model or not?

yes they used a very very small number of it initially on savoia then we stripped the mg from bombers and mounted on iar 80 as far as i know

Hi Sebipatru, in my original post I was talking about various 13.2mm MGs used by the nations listed, so yes I was referring to the standard model used by Romania. Concerning the Romanian version, I heard they used both the single and duelled barrelled versions, but up to now I can only find photos of the duel barrelled gun.

i understand initially i believed that it was a hmg built in Romania
also this weapon was used mounted on trucks as a mobile AA weapon i supose by tanks or cavalary
