Kurt Hielscher's 1933 photo album of Romania is very interesting also, although there are only several photos of Bucharest inside. Most of the album is dedicated to rural Romania, which, anyway, at that time represented ~78% of the population. The are countless portraits of peasants from all over the country. Hopefully, I will have time to scan some of the photos and post them here.
