It seems that in about two months Special Hobby will deliver a JIS/ JRS 79 B kit at 1/72 scale. Hope to be true. I heared it in a kit market.

Hi Bernard,

I have heard a similar story.

I have been told that later this year AirMag, the French aviation magazine, which has several good Romanian contributors, is going to issue a plastic 1:72 model of the JRS79B in connection with an article on the aircraft.

AirMag have already published an article on the IAR37/38/39 and have issued a plastic 1/72 model of the aircraft, which is advertised inside the current (March/April) issue. (I think the price is about 25 Euros, so not many in Romania will be able to afford one yet! I imagine a model of a bigger aircraft like the JRS79B will be even more expensive.)

If I remember correctly, AirMag is published by TMA, and TMA has its on website which should tell you more.

Cheers,

Sid.

I am not aware of it. Does anyone know the URL?

Hi Denes,

I see that the site above is not up to date.

There is also an index of Airmag on:

pagesperso-orange.fr/dominique.mahieu/index/airmag/ig.pdf

Hi Sid,

You are right about the price for the IAR 39 (25€- same for the potez 633b). Special Hobby is a quite expensive kit editor, so i believe that the JIS79B will cost about 35€-40€.

I do not know if Airmag will publish an article on JIS/JRS 79 bomber, but if so, it will be welcome since few articles about this plane were written till now. As far as i know, airmag doesn't work with Special Hobby, but maybe this kit is the beggining.

I saw on Hannants page, that there will be two versions of this kit: JRS/JIS 79B and JRS 79B1. Are there any significant differencies, or will it be only decal version?

P.S.: I have no connection with this on-line shop, I just want to show the content of the box.
