Hallo dragos
Some Great Pictures. Did you picture the two large Naval Guns taken from a Royal Naval Battleship that are in front of the doors to the Museum?? I took these a few years ago: Please excuse the large size of my pictures, but it really emphasizes the size of these guns. Kevin in Deva. This log / book was commissioned by Queen Elizabeth the 2nd in 1958 and presented to Richard Nixon, then "only" vice-president.
It has the names of all USAAF personnel that died while performing their duty. I don’t know if only those that died in Europe + Africa, or also with those who died in the Pacific as well. It is opened only at those pages, under glass, in Saint Paul Cathedral (London). I underlined with yellow "Brazda, C.W. T/Sgt. U.S.A.A.F." "Brazda" means "Furrow" not only in Romanian, but also in Serbo-Croatian, Slovak and Slovene. So his ancestry is quite a puzzle … https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/945x709q90/840/hhru.jpg https://imageshack.com/i/nrmna7j This post has been edited by Florin on July 16, 2014 04:57 pm |
