In August 1934 P.11b aircraft was completely destroyed during plane crash in Brasov. The pilot - captain Hubert - died. Do you know:
1. Full name of the pilot?
2. Correct date of this acident?
Was this crash the first in P.11b career in Romania?

Hello Woj,

1. Full name of the pilot?

Cpt. av. Dumitru A.M. Hubert+

2. Correct date of this acident?

I have two dates: 25 and 26 August 1934. The latter one is given on the monument of heroes of air, so I suggest to use this one.

3. Was this crash the first in P.11b career in Romania?

Could very well be. The next fatal accident I have is dated only in October.

Gen. Dénes

P.S. It was the first of many lives taken away by the P.11s... in peacetime.

How many? Five P.11bs aircraft was completely destroyed during first two years. Am I right?
According to the Polish reports the Romanian pilots needed more and more advanced training to use safely new, much faster fighter planes. May I ask you about the Romanian reports and opinions about P.11bs? "First impressions" would be especially interesting for me.
