Can you please ahve a look at this map and let me know if there are any locations that should be in it - important locations for 1944 operations - ? Also please correct any mistakes I made (names/rivers/roads) - this is really important.

You may want to take a look at the map below (from Iaşi City Council).

Ungheni, Podu Iloaiei, Ruginoasa and Moţca for example are missing from your map. You also missed the diacritics in some of the names (Paşcani, Leţcani).

Podu Iloaiei should definately be there and Lespezi also. These were targets for Romanian fighter-bombers. Maybe also Ruginoasa. Are interested also in locations for ground fighting?

Do you have photos of the old airport or were you interested in the location only?

Unfortunaetlly I do not - I was hoping to get at least the location right.. If anyone has ANY photos at all with airfields in Moldova/Basarbia, please contact me, I really need them (they are not for personal use but for a better understanding of romanian cotribution at ww2).

Does anyone have aerial hptographs of Moldavian crop fiels during ww2 ? I am interested to see how they were shaped - if it was any different from what we see today.
