On www.dacoromanica.ro can be found memories of Ion Băleanu - Ordin de misiune, printed in 1942.

That site is a great source !!! It has also the Monitorul Oficial of the era, which is great for uncovering the military awards of the war. Thanks for the tip Bogdan.

Welcome, anytime, Victor!

For those interested in a little old history than ww2 and with interest on more academic study, on the same site is to be found Teodor Păcăţian "Cartea de aur", covering Romanian history from Transylvania, all 8 volumes. Other precious books can be find there. Just search biggrin.gif

http://digitool.dc.bmms.ro:8881/R/LTA82SSX...8543&base=GEN01

the link might not work for long time, i saw that if it is not accesed it became inactive until a new search. if does so, please go to căutare, enter ordin de misiune, check exact at cuvânt/cuvinte and press go. The result will return with the book Ordin de misiune on the first or second position.

Thanks! It worked, but unfortunately for me, it begins too late for my period of interest (up to Odessa, that is!).

That is basically Copy+Paste from worldwar2.ro. It would have been normal to post links to the articles on our website, not on rip-off websites.

Not very documented... except if you consider the idea of Google translate, which would translate „unterstellung” with „Adormirea Maicii Domnului”! It would mean, probably, the higher instance of which 3-rd / 4-th armies were belonging to...
