Can you post a small biography of him?

How old was he when the photo was taken? He looks like a teenager.
Poor guy...

Re Dénes: I'm working on his bio. When the photo was taken, he was 16 years old.

Re Dragos: This photo is from his schoolfriend.

At previous year we have excavated the remanis of his plane and his body. Some photos are here:

As a side note, that was near Debrecen and Nicolae Traian was part of the Red Army at the moment.

C-2, excuse my ignorance, but is Mr. Traian still alive? It is posible to make any contact with him?

Nicolae Traian, the former Blenheim on-board observer?
What role did Mr. Traian have in the Red Army at that time?
Was the Fw 190 pilot he saw dead or POW?

Excellent detective work, Boris!
Did you find any major part of this Fw 190? Or the dataplate?
Are you planning to publish the story somewhere?

Gen. Dénes

Fine photo, Cantacuzino... I hope, it will be not a disrespectful question, but it is posible to send me this photo in better quality, pls? I'm working on an article about Gefr. Heim and this photo would be its great part.

Cantacuzino, I have the same photo. How do you know your namesake sits in 'Red 2'?

Thanks, Dénes.
I'm sorry, but here is the miserable message: the plane was absolutely destroyed, burst. We found only a ragged plates, human remains and some personal things, like pilot's badge, coins, girts, clothes, rank markings etc.
But the worst of it is, that the crashsite was before our research attacked by unknown and brutal "collectors". In my poor english i have no words for this cannibalism. The engine, guns (together with pilot's belly gun - luckily he was found during Police raid in the village), cockpit, chute etc. were mysterious away. Still today, not even Police search was without effect.
That's the other side of our search...

N.Traian, found a way "leaving" the pow in tropical Siberia,by joning the T.Vladimirescu div.
He saw some action in Transilvania ,Hungary and Chehoslovakia.
The German pow was alive and well, only that he was in the soviet hands.
He's 90 and doing very very well (he burried 4 wifes!).
